Phone cameras and why they're awesome

There is nothing better than a great trail ride with friends.

Unless it’s an epic trail ride alone.

We all get out by ourselves every now and then. We need it. We crave the solitude.

Just you, your bike and the mountains.

And your phone.

With modern phones boasting trail mapping software, bazillion megapixel cameras and the ability to make a quick internet search on edible mushrooms, we all take them along in the pocket.

And we take pictures with it that only we like. No one else was there. No one else was a part of that particular story. But we were and although we may never look at those pictures again, we love them.

Here is a collection of crappy, blown out phone camera shots from rides I have done in the last couple weeks in which I was the only person for many miles around. They were epic. The photos are not, but they make me smile every time I look at them.

And that’s why I took them.

You'll find loads more pics like these in the 'Phone Shots' folder in my Collections...
